The Pokemon GO game looks fantastic on your smartphone – sixty frames per second. This trick is only the latest one in a number of tricks that can accelerate Pokemon GO’s frame rate. Somewhat on how the Niantic game engine uses the game, but Niantic locks the game at 24 or 30 fps most time.

We’re looking at a Reddit user DaleBaxter01 method (not to be mixed up with the infamous James Baxter, the horse who walks on a beach ball). This fellow found an ASUS ROG Phone 3-speed method. The device is Android 10 and can display more graphics than your average smartphone at higher frames.

The user must have Pokemon GO open to make this method work. Turn on Google Assistant by pressing the Home Button (this differs for various devices – some of which have a dedicated Google Assistant button). Tap back into the game – it should be run at 60 frames per second! Tap back into the game!

This is most probably a temporary bug, so as soon as possible, you’ll want to look at it. It will probably be fixed in the short run with Niantic’s courtesy to discover the situation in the past.

If you found another way to jump the frame rate, let us know! Let us know! This is usually the kind of thing that happens incidentally. It will likely result in significantly faster battery life than normal with this higher frame rate. Before you leave the city for the Pokemon GO Gym attack, be sure to take into consideration the potential for a speedy fall. It probably will roll!
