If you run out of juice, there are over 35,000 Tesla Supercharging Stations worldwide, with approximately 1,400 in the United States, according to the most recent Scrape Hero data. Plug your Model Y into one of these locations, and Tesla claims that after 15 minutes of charging, you’ll have around 200 miles of range.
The Model Y battery has an insanely long lifespan, too
We know the Model Y will travel many miles between full charges, but some customers are concerned about the battery’s lifespan. Because the battery is the life force of the all-electric vehicle, it is a critical component that must demonstrate longevity — after all, consumers expect gasoline-powered vehicle engines to last for a decade or more without major issues. Why should we regard the power of an EV any differently?
Tesla, like its other vehicles, covers the batteries in the Model Y with a warranty that includes repairs if something goes wrong. According to the Tesla website, the battery in the Model Y Long-Range and Performance variants will be covered for eight years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first. That is the same battery warranty as the Model 3 EVs.
