Microsoft is currently previewing a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership that can be shared among up to four people.
Xbox Insiders in Colombia and Ireland can now add multiple people to their Game Pass Ultimate subscription, with each membership supporting up to four people. Even though it is a shared account, each person can access content and play different games than the others.
The only requirement for sharing a Game Pass Ultimate membership, at least during the preview period, is that the people being added live in the same country as you. If Microsoft continues to offer what we assume I will dub a “Family Plan” to consumers, multiple households may share a single membership. This will be useful if, for example, a family member leaves home to attend university.

To share their membership, Insiders must purchase the “Xbox Game Pass – Insider Preview” Game Pass plan. According to Microsoft, no member will lose the remaining value of an existing Game Pass subscription when they switch over, and they will be able to switch back once this new membership expires. Anyone who is invited to share a membership can either cancel their current membership or wait for it to expire before accepting the invitation. In addition, anyone invited who does not already have a Microsoft account will be given one as part of the sign-up process.
