Ford is the main sponsor of the Woodward Dream Cruise 2021, which is currently underway. The Ford Mustang is usually the star attraction at the Dream Cruise, and this year is no exception. For its part, Ford is promoting its new Bronco and Bronco Sport during the event.

High-Performance-Road Stability Suspension, or HOSS, is one of the new Bronco models that Ford is particularly proud of. With the suspension, Ford aimed to provide drivers with the most control in any situation they may find themselves in. A Baja trophy truck suspension system inspired the Bronco’s independent front suspension, coil-over shocks, and high-speed stability and agility.
Bronco buyers have the option of adding position-sensitive Bilstein dampers to their vehicle. On the Badlands series, the Bronco Sport also has a HOSS-tuned independent suspension and a specially-tuned steering system. After consulting with off-road enthusiasts, Ford developed a suspension system that makes Bronco models capable in all terrains, according to the automaker.

Some Bronco and Bronco Support models, such as the Badlands series or those equipped with the Sasquatch off-road package, benefit from HOSS suspension systems. Ford’s off-road-tuned dampers and end-stop control valve technology are used on these vehicles for increased stability.

Seeing the Bronco Sport tuned for off-roading is particularly pleasing. Shock absorbers with twin tubes are standard on all Bronco Sport models. In combination with the available 29-inch all-terrain tires, the Bronco Sport has a maximum ground clearance of 8.8 inches.
